Start with one business problem, not ten AI tools
A simple way to choose your first useful AI project without overwhelming your team.
A useful AI project begins with a task you can describe clearly. For a local shop, that might be organizing daily sales records or drafting follow-up messages.
Choose one task that repeats often. Write down how it works today, how much time it takes, and where mistakes happen. You need a baseline before deciding whether a new tool helps.
Test with a small, non-sensitive sample. Ask AI to structure the information or prepare a draft, then check every important detail yourself. Avoid uploading customer phone numbers, payment details or private documents without a clear need and permission.
After a week, compare time spent, errors and usefulness. Keep the process only if it improves the work. Better records and a clear routine matter more than the number of AI tools you use.
